The Aftermath Of Been Overweight

HEALTH EFFECTS OF OVERWEIGHT

While the negative health outcomes associated with obesity are accepted within the medical community, the health implications of the overweight category are more controversial. The generally accepted view is that being overweight causes similar health problems to obesity, but to a lesser degree. Adams et al. estimated that the risk of death increases by 20 to 40 percent among overweight people, and the Framingham heart study found that being overweight at age 40 reduced life expectancy by three years. A review in 2013 came to the result that being overweight significantly increases the risk of oligospermia and azoospermia in men.

Katherine Flegal et al., however, found that the mortality rate for individuals who are classified as overweight (BMI 25 to 30) may actually be lower than for those with an "ideal" weight (BMI 18.5 to 24).

Being overweight has been identified as a cause of cancer, and is projected to overtake smoking as the primary cause of cancer in developed countries as cases of cancer linked to smoking dwindle.

Psychological well-being is also at risk in the overweight individual due to social discrimination. However, children under the age of eight are normally not affected.

Being overweight does not increase mortality in older people.
CAUSES OF OVERWEIGHT is generally caused by the intake of more calories (by eating) than are expended by the body (by exercise and everyday living). Factors that may contribute to this imbalance include:

1 . Alcoholism
2. Eating disorders (such as binge eating)
3. Genetic predisposition
4. Hormonal imbalances (e.g. hypothyroidism)
5. Insufficient or poor-quality sleep
6. Limited physical exercise and sedentary lifestyle
7. Poor nutrition
8. Metabolic disorders, which could be caused by repeated attempts to lose weight by weight cycling
9. Overeating
10. Psychotropic medication (e.g. olanzapine)
11. Smoking cessation and other stimulant withdrawal
12. Stress

People who have insulin dependent diabetes and chronically overdose insulin may gain weight, while people who already are overweight may develop insulin tolerance, and in the long run type II diabetes.
Now the question is “WHAT ARE THE VARIOUS SOLUTIONS TO WEIGHT LOSS BEEN ADOPTED BY MANY PEOPLE?”

1. FREQUENT EXERCISE
2. WEIGHT LOSS PILLS
3. SURGERY
4. CALORIES CONTROL
5. ENGAGING MUCH MORE IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
6. LIFE STYLE CHANGE
7. DIET CONTROL

From the above listed seven(7), aside number 2 above that can be categorized into two(2) major categories, and number 3 which is effective but have severe side effect, all others have very minimum effect. Now let’s discuss number 2:

WEIGHT LOSS PILLS are categorized into ORGANIC and SYNTHETIC pills, all synthetic weight loss pills have drastic side effects, and they are not reliable, while ORGANIC weight loss pills are 100% effective and have no side effects. Now I will list some few synthetic weight loss pills and their side effects.

Negative side effects of SYNTHETIC/UNHEALTHY weight loss pills:

There is no guarantee.
Dietary supplements do not require approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before being sold to the public. With so many companies and products, it is easy for unsafe ingredients to find their way into popular diet pills, going unnoticed until adverse reactions are reported to the FDA.

They can increase your risk for heart attack and stroke.
The main ingredient in most diet pills is stimulants that have been found to increase risk for heart attack and stroke. Often these stimulants are prescription level drugs that have been banned from the market, but they illegally make their way back into these pills due to poor regulation of dietary supplements.
You can become addicted.
Diet pills often contain amphetamines, anti-anxiety drugs, and antidepressants. Not only is this a dangerous mix, but these drugs are also highly addictive.
You may experience multiple side effects.
Some diet pills contain fat blockers that decrease nutrient absorption and cause stomach upset. Other reported side effects of diet pills include constipation, headaches, and mood swings.
Labels are full of false claims.
Don’t believe every claim you read on the labels of dietary supplements. In a report released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, an analysis of 127 dietary supplements (including weight loss pills) found that 20 percent made illegal claims on the labels stating that the product cured or treated disease.
They are ineffective.
Many diet pills are simply a combination of caffeine and other diuretics, which cause water loss. Initially this results in a lower number on the scale, but this is not true fat loss and the water weight will return. Additionally, extreme water loss due to diet pills can cause dangerous dehydration.
You won’t change your habits.
Long term weight loss requires a change in your eating and exercise habits to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Taking a pill as a quick-fix method does not encourage you to gain a better understanding of how foods and exercise affect your weight. You are less likely to check food labels, record your food intake, and fit in your exercise if you think a pill is going to do the work for you. Taking pills forever is not sustainable and once you stop, you’ll be back to your poor habits and initial weight.

Why Are SYNTHETIC/UNHEALTHY Weight Loss Pills Dangerous?
Many weight loss supplements are harmless, and some may even be effective at creating a sense of fullness, burning fat or boosting your metabolism. But some of the popular ingredients in weight loss products have been banned by the FDA because of harmful side effects like these:

· Increased heart rate
· High blood pressure
· Agitation
· Diarrhea
· Sleeplessness
· Kidney problems
· Liver damage
· Rectal bleeding

Once widely sold as an ingredient in diet supplements, the Chinese herbal stimulant ephedra was banned in 2004 because of evidence that its use could increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. In 2005, a lower court ruled that ephedra could be used in small doses. In 2006, a federal appeals court reinstated the FDA’s original ban, ruling that ephedra was too dangerous to be used as a supplement at any dose. According to WebMD, 64 percent of harmful reactions to herbal supplements were attributed to ephedra in 2001.
Hydroxycut – Recalled and Banned

Some weight loss products can cause severe damage to your kidneys, liver and other vital organs. According to Consumer Reports, Hydroxycut products were banned and recalled in 2009 because of reports of serious adverse reactions, including hepatitis and jaundice. One person who took these fat-burning supplements died; another required a liver transplant.
Fen-Phen – Recalled

Fenfluramine, one of the two active ingredients in the off-label diet drug Fen-Phen, was recalled in the late 1990s after the drug was linked to cases of heart damage and lung disease. Phentermine, the other primary ingredient in Fen-Phen, is still prescribed in certain cases for weight loss, but should be used only with a doctor’s prescription.
Meridia – Withdrawn from the Market

Sibutramine, a prescription drug sold as Meridia, was withdrawn from the market in 2010 after a clinical study indicated that the drug could increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. According to the National Institutes of Health, subutramine was originally prescribed as a long-term appetite suppressant and weight management solution. The manufacturer voluntarily stopped production after Meridia was associated with evidence of cardiovascular damage.

Proven health benefits of loosing weight naturally with our weight management products:

If you are overweight or obese, losing just 5-12kg of your body weight can help you lower your blood pressure, cholesterol (with increased "good" HDL-cholesterol), triglycerides, and also lower your risk for developing heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and osteoarthritis.Lung function is also improved, especially in asthmatics. Even the risk of dying is reduced, especially if you are diabetic. For most, the benefits are even more if you lose 10kg.Being overweight/obese and living a sedentary lifestyle are major risk factors for heart disease and stroke. Losing weight can also help you lower your risk for heart disease by lowering your blood pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol.Even if you have a family history of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure or high cholesterol, you can reduce your risk by losing weight. My message is that even if you carry the genes for hypertension and other chronic diseases, you can still keep the risks low by leading a healthy lifestyle, eating a nutrient-dense diet rich in fruits and veggies, appropriate nutritional supplementation, maintaining optimum weight, and doing sufficient exercise.Even if you already have the diseases, you may be able reduce your drug dosage, or even get off drugs completely by adopting our weight management product.Obesity is also associated with increased risks of cancers of the oesophagus, breast (in post-menopausal women), endometrium (uterus), colon and rectum, kidney, pancreas, thyroid, gallbladder, and possibly other cancer types. Therefore, it makes sense to slim down and maintain the optimum weight if you want to reduce your risk of getting these cancers.Obesity puts immense strain on your knees. Just being 5kg overweight will increase 15-30kg of extra force on your knee joints with each step. That is why obese people often suffer excruciating knee pain due to osteoarthritis (inflammation due to wear-and-tear erosion of the cartilages and grinding of the exposed bone). Many end up with surgery, including total knee replacement. Click here for more benefits.
